REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE

You can learn a lot from comic books. One thing you learn is that knowing your identity is key to putting your power to work. That’s also true in the real world of spiritual truth. Sometimes we live perpetually wounded and powerless lives not because we are wounded and powerless, but because we don’t realize that we are healed and powerful.

In this sermon you’ll learn the connection between the Christian walk and the life of Pastor Graves’s favorite superhero. Learn why you aren’t as victorious as you somehow think you’re supposed to be. Learn how you can to turn that all around if only you will

MONTGOMERY AREA PRISON OUTREACH CONFERENCE

What? MONTGOMERY AREA PRISON OUTREACH CONFERENCE
When? October 15th, 9 A.M.- noon

Where? Hall Memorial CME Church,
541 Seibles Road, Montgomery, AL 36116

Who? Ministries, churches, non-profits, government agencies, law enforcement, and all groups & individuals who care about prison outreach.

Why? As we at Hall Memorial CME Church and our partners at Gateway Benevolence Ministries ministered to the men and women in the jails and prisons we found that their needs didn't end with the classes and Bible studies we brought to them behind bars. We found that when they were released even those who accepted the invitation to connect with our churches were often ill-prepared to live legitimate, productive lives. We also discovered how ill-prepared we were to meet their many needs.

As we searched for help, we found many, many others who are doing good work, potentially filling the gaps in each others’ resources.

The MONTGOMERY AREA PRISON OUTREACH CONFERENCE on Saturday, October 15, 2011 is about getting all of those people together and saying to each other, "This is what we need. This is what we have. Let's share."

How much? Free. But registration is required. Register online at http://www.zoomerang.com/Survey/U2KR7C2S3Q4L

If you have questions or want more information, email us at hallmemorialcme1@aol.com You can also join in the conversation by joining the facebook group Montgomery Area Prison Outreach

FOR HIS NAMESAKE (NAME'S SAKE)

Here is the problem: People get saved and then, after they’re saved, they sin. And yet, God continues to show mercy to people who mess up even after they’ve received the great gift of salvation. What would He do that for?

For His Name’s Sake (Namesake)

Listen well.

TURN THE WORLD UPSIDE-DOWN

From small deviations in our regular schedules to national tragedies and cataclysms, there is no shortage of events and incidents that can turn our world upside-down. But, is that always a bad thing?

In Acts chapter 17, an angry mob accuses the early Christians of coming into town and “turning the world upside-down.” Maybe, just maybe that’s what we’re supposed to do.

Maybe it’s time for us to be more like those early believers who TURNED THE WORLD UPSIDE DOWN.

Listen well.
